Ahmed Jamil Azm is an assistant professor of international relations at Birzeit University, a member of the Board of Directors of the Research Center (PMF), and a member of the Palestinian Central Council. Previously, he held the position of Head of the Master’s Program in International Studies at the Abu-Lughod Institute for International Studies, at Birzeit University, in Palestine, and previously served as Director of the Arab and Palestinian Studies Program at the same university, and was a member of the Board of Directors of the Abu-Lughod Institute of International Studies at the university, and a lecturer in studies International and Political Science. He was previously a visiting scholar at the School of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Cambridge, UK. He also worked for about ten years at the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research in Abu Dhabi, as a researcher and lecturer in scientific research curricula, and as a director of the editor of the center's Future Horizons periodical.

 

He has co-authored several books, most notably "Arab and Democratic Satellite Channels", "The Canaan Star", "The Future of Jerusalem and the Peaceful Settlement Process", "Jordan's Social History (Jordan in Western Studies)", and "Current Transformations and Their Possible Role in Creating Change in the Arab World" (in Arabic and English). His published research studies include "American Scientific Failure in Iraq and the Failure of Conflict Transformation Strategies" (in Arabic and English), and "Redefining Conflict Management" (in Arabic and English).

 

Dr. wrote. Ahmed Azm has been in the Al-Ittihad newspaper in Abu Dhabi, regularly, for five years, ending in 2011. He has been a regular writer in the Jordanian newspaper Al-Ghad since 2005, and is not a regular in other newspapers, in both Arabic and English, as his writings appear in the International Politics Journal, in Egypt, and publications of the Institute for Palestine Studies, in Beirut and Jerusalem, and he is a member of the Advisory Board for Research of the Masarat Studies Center in Palestine.

 

Dr.. Ahmed Azem holds a PhD from the University of Edinburgh in the United Kingdom in political science, specializing in international relations. He also worked as a lecturer for the bachelor’s stage at the same university. He holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology and politics, and a master’s degree in political science from the University of Jordan.
