Salim Salama (1895 - 1963), a Palestinian physician, writer, poet and translator, was born in Ramallah in 1895 AD, received his primary and secondary education in Jerusalem, and graduated from the English College, where he specialized in education. He practiced the teaching profession in Jerusalem for a short period and then abandoned it. He continued his university education and joined the American University of Beirut and studied dentistry, graduating as a doctor in 1921. He worked in Jerusalem, Ramallah and Haifa, then took refuge in Damascus following the Nakba, and there he practiced the art of writing and translation. He left Damascus in 1958 AD to his hometown and died there in 1963 AD.

He translated into Arabic several American novels: (The Teenager - The Impact of the Buffalo - My Friend Felica - The Citizen and Society - The Offender on Himself - Caroline and Jewel) and all of them were printed, and he translated American books and letters into Arabic, between scientific simplification, and political and sectarian propaganda (Freemasonry).

Poetry: He is an occasional poet, and most of his poetry is in the Brotherhood.
