Maha is the Director of Strategies at the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor. She is a Palestinian journalist from Gaza who holds a master's degree in political science - refugee studies. She has worked with several human rights organizations and was previously the director of the Euro-Mediterranean regional office in the Palestinian territories. Prior to her work in the field of human rights, Maha worked as a war journalist reporting on human rights violations in the Palestinian territories, and in 2020, she was awarded the prestigious Martin Adler Prize for her work as a freelance journalist.
