Information
Asef Hamidi is a Palestinian journalist and has been the news director of Al Jazeera since 2015.
After being included in several positions in it; From a news producer and supervisor to an editorial director and a news director, he also worked in Al Jazeera network as a media trainer at Al Jazeera Training Institute. Prior to his work at Al Jazeera, he worked as editor-in-chief at Abu Dhabi TV in the period 2000-2005.
He covered many hot events as a field reporter in Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine, Iran, Lebanon, South Africa and the Philippines. He holds a BA in Journalism and Media from Yarmouk University, Jordan.

He has a book in the media entitled “Radio and TV Work - Keys to Success and Secrets of Creativity.” He is a university course in some Arab universities, including King Saud University in Saudi Arabia. He also has two other books, “The Writing for the Picture” and the second, “The TV Reporter’s Guide.”
