Khaled Hassan al-Sheikh (1945 - January 17, 2011) is a Palestinian politician and diplomat, born in the Palestinian city of Tulkarm. He is the dean of Palestinian ambassadors, one of the most prominent founders of the Fatah movement, and one of its first leaders. He is one of the leaders of the Palestine Liberation Organization, and a member of the Palestinian National Council. He held the position of Palestine's ambassador to Uganda, Romania, India and Yemen.

Khaled Hassan Sheikh "Abu Hassan" was born in the city of Tulkarm in the West Bank in 1945. He received his primary, preparatory and secondary education in the schools of his city of Tulkarm, and obtained a high school diploma from the prestigious Al-Fadhili school in the city.

Khaled Hassan al-Sheikh was one of the first full-time Palestinian militants. He left for Pakistan in 1965 to study a bachelor’s degree in geology at a Pakistani university, and joined the organization of the Fatah movement there. He was the founder of the Fatah movement’s territory in Pakistan, and in 1969 became the representative and secretary of the movement there.

He then worked in the Foreign Relations Office of the Fatah movement in Lebanon in 1970, then was appointed ambassador to the Palestine Liberation Organization in Uganda in 1973, where the Palestinian embassy there was one of the first and most important Palestinian embassies, and worked to strengthen Palestinian-Uganda relations, and was widely accepted by Ugandan circles Ugandan President Idi Amin was consulting him on many political matters, as they had a strong friendship.

He was appointed ambassador to Palestine in Romania in 1980 and continued until 1983, moving to serve as ambassador to India from 1983 to 2004, and finally ambassador to Yemen from 2004 to 2007.

Al-Sheikh holds a PhD in “Point Economics” from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest. He is the “Dean of Palestinian Ambassadors,” a leader of the Palestine Liberation Organization, and a member of the Palestinian National Council.
