Yasser Abd al-Majid Adeeb Abd Rabbo (born September 17, 1945 in Jaffa) is a left-leaning Palestinian politician and former Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Liberation Organization. He holds a BA in Economics and Political Science from the American University in Cairo. He was dismissed from the position of Secretary of the Executive Committee by President Mahmoud Abbas in 2015

Abd Rabbo Maatrak entered political life through his membership in the Arab Nationalists Movement and then the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. In 1969, a section led by Nayef Hawatmeh separated from the Popular Front and established the Popular Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, which changed its name in 1974 to the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, and occupied Yasser Abd Rabbo held the position of Deputy Secretary-General of the Democratic Front, until he separated from it due to conflicting political positions between him and the Secretary-General of the Front, Nayef Hawatmeh. A number of the front's old comrades, such as Saleh Raafat (the current Secretary-General of the Fida Party), the late Mamdouh Nofal (former military advisor to President Yasser Arafat) and Issam Abdel Latif were busy establishing what was called at the time the "Line of Renewal", from which later emerged the Palestinian Democratic Union Fida.

Yasser Abed Rabbo was one of Yasser Arafat's closest men, and many Palestinian foreign missions were assigned to him, which were mostly secret. (Al-Arafati leftist - Al-Hayat Al-London), as he was one of the initiators to open channels of communication between the Palestine Liberation Organization and the United States of America through the American ambassador in Tunisia at that time.

He held a number of ministerial positions, such as Minister of Culture and Information during the era of Yasser Arafat, and Minister of Cabinet Affairs in Mahmoud Abbas' government, in addition to his position as Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization since the election of Mahmoud Abbas as president. He was dismissed by President Mahmoud Abbas from the position of Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization on the 7th of 2015

He is married to writer and director Liana Badr, with whom he has two sons, Bashar and Tariq. In addition to currently serving as the secretariat of the Executive Committee of the Liberation Organization, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas appointed him as the general supervisor of official media, especially the Palestinian Radio and Television Corporation.
