Kamal Al-Abd Al-Sharafi is an independent Palestinian politician, who held the position of Minister of Social Affairs 2013 on June 6, 2013.

 

his life

Born in Jabalia refugee camp in the Gaza Strip. He ran as an independent in the Palestinian Parliament in 1996 for ten years. He served as Chairman of the Human Rights Oversight Committee of the Legislative Council. He held the position of Minister of Health in the government of President Mahmoud Abbas in 2003.

 

his activity

He holds the position of advisor to the President with the rank of Minister of Human Rights and Civil Society, and heads many non-governmental organizations that work in the field of human rights and civil society. He is also currently Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al-Aqsa University in Gaza, a member of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Friends of Al-Aqsa University Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Mezan Center for Human Rights, Member of the Board of Trustees of the Martyr Yasser Arafat Foundation, President of the National Center for Studies and Documentation, Member of the Board of Trustees of the Coalition for Integrity and Accountability Center “AMAN”, and played an important and influential role in mediating between the Fatah movement in the West Bank and the Fatah movement Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
