Sheikh Fahmi Hashim Al-Jaafari Al-Hashemi (1891-1973) is a Jordanian jurist and politician of Palestinian origins, born in Nablus , graduate of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif , Minister of Education, and Chief Justice in the government of Jordanian Prime Minister Samir Al-Rifai , formed on 10/15/1944 AD. He held both positions again in the government of his nephew, President Ibrahim Hashem , formed on May 19, 1945 AD, and became Minister of Justice and Chief Justice in a reshuffle that took place in the government on September 8, 1946 AD. In 1947 AD, he moved to Saudi Arabia as a representative of Jordan, becoming the first Minister Plenipotentiary of Jordan and an extraordinary delegate at the first Jordanian embassy in Saudi Arabia.

Sheikh Fahmi Hashem received his legal education in Istanbul (during the Ottoman era), and Sheikh Fahmi Hashem had a prominent role in establishing the Al-Najah School in Nablus, which later developed into a college and then into a university. During the Ottoman era, Sheikh Fahmi Hashem served in the Ottoman army with the rank of lieutenant officer, then he was exempted from military service out of respect for his affiliation with the nobles of the Hashem family and out of respect for his knowledge. In eastern Jordan, during the Emirate’s era, Sheikh Fahmi held several positions in the Sharia judiciary, and he was the first to assume the administration of Sharia affairs and head the department.

Zakat, which was later transformed into a ministry. In 1944 AD, Sheikh Fahmi Hashem entered the ministry as Minister of Education and Chief Justice in the government of President Samir Al-Rifai. In 1947 AD, Sheikh Fahmi Hashem was appointed Minister Plenipotentiary of Jordan in Saudi Arabia in the first Jordanian embassy in Saudi Arabia. Sheikh Fahmi Hashem served as a member of the Arabic Language Academy in Cairo in the 1950s until 1947. 1972 AD, and he died to the mercy of God Almighty on 8/8/1973 AD.
