Sheikh Ahmed bin Yahya al-Karmi (1591 AD - March 15, 1680 AD) (1000 AH - Safar 14, 1091 AH) and his full name is Ahmed bin Yahya bin Youssef bin Abi Bakr bin Ahmed bin Abi Bakr bin Youssef bin Ahmed al-Karmi, and his nickname is Abu al-Abbas, and his title is Shihab al-Din. He is a scholar A Muslim jurist, he was born in the city of Tulkarm, Palestine, and he is one of the most prominent Hanbali scholars, and one of the most prominent Islamic scholars in the eleventh century AH.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Yahya bin Youssef bin Abi Bakr bin Ahmed bin Abi Bakr bin Youssef bin Ahmed Al-Karmi, his nickname is Abu Al-Abbas, and his nickname is Shihab Al-Din. He was born in the city of Tulkarem, Palestine, in the year 1000 AH, corresponding to the year 1591 AD. Where he was born in the Al-Fuqaha neighborhood in the old city of Tulkarm, and the Al-Fuqaha neighborhood is one of the most famous historical religious neighborhoods in Palestine, which included the elite of religious scholars, as the neighborhood brought out a group of religious scholars, including Sheikh Mari Al-Karmi, Sheikh Ali bin Mansour Al-Karmi, and Sheikh Muhammad Saeed Al-Jamal and others.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Yahya Al-Karmi grew up in his city Tulkarem in a family known for knowledge, and he received in Tulkarem Sharia sciences and the Qur’an, then he moved to Cairo in the year 1026 AH, corresponding to the year 1617 AD, where he learned his knowledge from the scholars of Al-Azhar, and later became one of the most prominent scholars of Al-Azhar.

Sheikh Muhammad bin Fadlallah Al-Muhebi said on the authority of Sheikh Ahmed bin Yahya Al-Karmi: “He was one of the working scholars and ascetic saints, and he was busy with religious sciences, not frequenting any of the heads of states, content with a little provision, adhering to the congregational prayer in the first row at the five times, He speaks little, has a good conduct, and combines the attributes of perfection. There is nothing in him that disgraces him in his religion or worldly affairs.
Sheikh Kamal al-Din al-Ghazi said about him: “He is the virtuous sheikh, the scholar, the noble jurist, Shihab al-Din Abu al-Abbas al-Karmi.”
Sheikh Hassan bin Omar Al-Shatti said about him: “He is the virtuous sheikh, the scholar, the noble, the jurist.”
His son, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Karmi, narrated about him: “He saw the truth, Glory be to Him, in sleep three times.”
