“Muhammad Saleh” Al-Munajjid (June
13, 1961 -) (30 Dhu al-Hijjah 1380 AH -) a Syrian jurist and preacher of
Palestinian origin residing in Saudi Arabia. He was born to Palestinian parents
who were refugees in Syria, then his family traveled to Saudi Arabia, where he
grew up until he obtained a bachelor’s degree from the University of King Fahd
Petroleum and Minerals.
His upbringing and education
He grew up in Riyadh and finished
the first stage of his primary, intermediate and secondary education there,
then moved to the city of Khobar and studied and graduated from King Fahd
University of Petroleum and Minerals with a BA in Industrial Management. Then
he turned to calling to God under the guidance of Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Baz, as
he directed him to work as an imam and preacher in the eastern region, and he
was under thirty years old.

His work and scientific activity
The imam and preacher of the Omar
bin Abdul Aziz Mosque in Al-Aqrabiya in the city of Al-Khobar, and he has a
great activity in calling to Islam through the lessons and lectures he gives in
his mosque and elsewhere. He had a weekly program on Al-Majd satellite channel,
entitled Al-Rased, which lasted for a period of time, and he also had a weekly
program on the Holy Quran Radio. He also has programs on local, Gulf and Arab
channels, and he has more than 3,000 articles published, most of them online.
He also wrote many tapes in various lessons that exceed (4500) audio hours, and
he is one of the most active and influential preachers among youth circles. He
is considered to have a wide media activity through various satellite channels,
and Al-Munajjid is distinguished by the fact that his programs are broadcast
simultaneously on more than 10 satellite channels sometimes, especially during
the blessed month of Ramadan.

Muhammad Salih Al-Munajjid is known
to be one of the first to use the Internet to call for his approach, by
establishing the Islam Question and Answer website, which is the first Islamic
website on the Internet, and the sheikh opened it since 1997 AD before the
official introduction of Internet service to individuals in Saudi Arabia. And
he supervises it so far, as well as nine Islamic websites, which is the Islam
Sites Group, which publishes its content in ten different languages.
